God loves you and has a plan for your life. “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
Sin separates us from a Holy God and sin comes with a severe penalty. “For everyone has sinned: we all fall short of God’s glorious standard” (Romans 3:23).
“For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23a).
God did for us what we can not do for ourselves, and it comes in the form of a free gift.
“…but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23b).
“For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin.” (Romans 3:25a).
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
There is only one thing God asks of us: Believe in Christ and receive Him as Savior. “People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood…” (Romans 3:25).
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved” (Romans 10:9-10).
What should I do?
If you want a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and to live forever with Him in Heaven, just agree with God and say yes to Jesus. It’s that easy. God wants it to be simple: Believe and receive Christ as Savior.
But God gives every person the right to agree or disagree … to choose life or death (eternal separation from God).
The Bible encourages us to choose life … eternal life.
All you have to do is ask the Lord, and he will save you. Any words will do, as long as they sincerely come from your heart. If you don’t know what to say, then just say the following prayer:
Lord, Jesus, I love you because you first loved me. I know you died for me on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins, and that you arose from the grave to prove that you are the Son of God. You are my Lord and my God, and I give you my heart. Please forgive me for all the wrong things I’ve done. I believe in you and I trust you. Please save me. Thank you. Amen!
